Judge evicts NYC tenant for listing rent-stabilized apartment on Airbnb

The decision, while not the first eviction related to short-term rentals, could serve as something of a precedent for how the city’s courts deal with enterprising tenants. Judge Jack Stoller found that tenant Henry Ikezi had engaged in profiteering, and awarded possession of the apartment to landlord Related Companies.
