Dear VCPORA members and friends,
It is with deep gratitude and admiration for her service that I share the following news: our talented longtime executive director, Meg Lousteau, has accepted a position with the National Trust for Historic Preservation as Associate Field Director for the Houston Field Office and will be stepping down at the end of this calendar year.
Please join me in congratulating Meg on this exciting opportunity. Her excellent stewardship of our organization for the past ten years cannot be heralded enough, and the entire preservation community in New Orleans will miss her leadership. It reflects well on VCPORA’s accomplishments, that under her ten-year leadership, she was selected to work for preservation advocacy on the national level.
Although it will be a challenging transition, we are confident that we will be able to fill the position with an ideal candidate. Our board already is working toward this end, and we will keep you informed as that process goes along.
Again, we cannot thank Meg enough for the unwavering commitment, passion, and dedication she has had for our organization and our neighborhood. She will be greatly missed by our board, our members, and the community at large. We wish her every success as she begins this next chapter.
Sincerely,
Rick Normand, President
